An EU committee has decided to back proposed regulations to interfere with the business models of telecomms companies.

I first heard about this proposal this time last year, and I wrote about why it is such a bad idea.

It goes to the EU Parliament next week. No prizes for guessing which way this will go: politicians will love the chance to look heroic and know that most voters are too stupid to realise what this really means.
